The companion comes with the idea of visiting one of her favorite cafés after having a warming soup for lunch. And behold, the card contains a day soup, which should not now have at 11.30 a.m., especially from 12.00 a.m. It's just that our parking time runs at 12.15, we have a piece to go and the monitoring of the remaining parking lot has moved to our parking lot. We order two Gerolsteiner Spray á 2,40 Euro. And trust us to ask for the soup. Questions cost nix. We hear that the soup is only served from 12 o'clock before there is nix. Okay, let's go like this, even if the Minestrone read me well. We leave the café 15 minutes later hungry and culinaryly unsatisfactory. On the way to the car we find a show that stands in front of a pizzeria/osteria/Italian restaurant. And what is it: our soup! Just the same set for bets, similar price. What about the place when? Right: at 12 o'clock. That's why the soup wasn't ready. If we had said it, it wouldn't have been bad. So we felt you didn't want to. Well. So we're not coming back.
If I had walked past the front of this restaurant, or even gone into it, I wouldn't have eaten here. It looks dated, unappetising, and generally not very inviting. However, I discovered Vogler, because at the back entrance are a couple of little tables and chairs that beg you to sit down! So I did, several mornings for breakfast :-)The food was good, the service fast, efficient and friendly, and overall a great little place to sit, enjoy a meal and watch the world go by. I think this will be my regular breakfast stop when in Lindau :-)!
We rented the holiday apartment here and Frau Vogler was welcoming and helpful without being too intrusive. The apartment is spacious and modern and clean with all you could need for a visit with a family of 4. It's excellently located - a skip and a leap from the old harbour on the island. We had breakfast twice in the café too and it offered every permutation you could hope for and it was all delicious - especially the hausgemachte konfituren!
