South Bay Diner - Lindenhurst

All I'm saying is this is the best diner I have been to in a long time! My family and I decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed.

Damn, this diner is solidMy fiance and I wanted a cheat meal, and I heard good things about this diner through fellow Yelpers.

It's been a number of years since I've last been to Long Island, so we had to get to as many diners as possible during our visit. Met up with some dear friends from college to enjoy some fantastic food, especially the gravy cheese fries (aka disco fries).

Service was very slow. Our waiter was not attentive at all. The food was also delayed due to some issue in the kitchen. The manager Christina resolved the issue and was very helpful. If it weren't for her, this would be a 1 star review. It's great to see a manager who sees an issue and gets involved without having to be asked to. She was very nice and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we left with a great experience in the end. I am so glad she was there, or we would have had a very negative experience.
