Aloft San José Costa Rica

Clean room, comfortable bed, modern style. My room was next to the main road so was a little loud cars driving by all night. Bathroom has wall dispenser with shampoo, conditioner, body wash. I had to check out early in the morning, got the Breakfast box to go was a ham and cheese sandwich and apple. Hotel helped me coordinate cab in morning, very helpful! Enjoyed my stay.

The food for dinner was the worst all week. I ordered a veg sandwich. They asked if they could replace the bun with different bread. They then didn't bring the vegetables as promised on the menu. I said something, and they brought me a can of mushrooms emptied into a bowl. The only can of food that was presented to me in costa rica. I couldn't eat and was surprised they charged me for their weak food choices. Breakfast was hot, and the service was good. It was at the bottom of breakfast choices during my two weeks in Costa Rica. The hotel rooms were good—stylish and had good views.

Very nice hotel located in a really nice area right outside of downtown San Jose, close to the airport. There is a big shopping center across the street with restaurants and a McDonald's open late. Rooms are big and very clean.

I stayed at this hotel 9/16-923 I hd such a great time here breakfast buffet es maxing and very well laid out food es delicious gallo pinto,plátanos fruits eggs a large variety everyday Service was excellent Went to the bar area everyone at this hotel was very friendly The room service as excellent I would recommend this hotel in the future and to friends that will visit Costa Rica

Not what you would expect of a Marriott. Some of the absolutely worst food and service we’ve had in Costa Rica. SLOW service. Were only 6 people in the whole restaurant, including us. Once seated,took over 5 minutes to get a menu, 20 minutes to get our 3 drinks, they were delivered one at a time. The pizza was disgusting. We all hated it. Completely undercooked. So were the frozen French fries. My friend asked them to fry them longer to crisp and darken them. Their solution was to microwave them and bring them back in less than a minute. The cheese was dry and the pizzas were both lukewarm at best. The rooms were clean, so the maid service is the only ones to be commended. When we asked to change one room to an adjoining room,they claimed they couldn’t (there was no one in either of the rooms adjoining ours whole time). Not accommodating at all, and the food sucks.
