We were walking from the Botanical Garden and tried to find some restaurant nearby . It was not far and seemed to be OK but it was already 5pm and we were the only guests. The waiter brought starters which we didn't order but we didn't protest as we were hungry and it was tasty two pieces of cod cake (Eur 1.40 each), cheese (Eur 2.50) and bread (Eur 0.70). As main we had veal steak with potatoes and garlic (Eur 12) and pork steak with egg, chips and rice (Eur 10). For drink we had cappucino (Eur 2), beer (Eur 2.70) and sparkling water (Eur 1.30). It was simple but tasty.

A big trap and dishonest owner. He brought food not ordered as couvert. That is fine, them he charged the couvert bread. We drank 3 beers he charge 4. Finally the bill was $74.80, but he charged $78,40, when I asked why he said it was a mistake. Very dishonest owner. As said in a previous review, It’s not about 3 or 4 euros, it actually about his scam attitude. Go somewhere else.

The food here is simple but reasonably priced. The proprietor was extremely helpful even chased after us when my husband left his camera. Thanks!

É um lugar espetacular.Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e acolhedores.A comida é divinal : Já não é a primeira vez que almoço neste local nem será a Última.

Fim de semana, a fome aperta e queremos comida com sabor caseiro e não a comida de restaurante. Entrei meio a medo no Adamastor. Pequeno, cheio de turistas e com as mesas cheias. Pouco tempo de depois estávamos a ser a ser atendidos por um senhor simpático que nos ajudou a escolheu os pratos. Comi carne de porco frita com arroz e salada e o meu namorado uma omelete de queijo com batatas e saladas. Não desiludiu. Comemos tudo. Comida saborosa e sem grandes pretensões. Com os pratos do dia a 7,50 € é claramente um lugar a voltar apertar de agora. E uns pastéis de bacalhau como entrada de comer e chorar por mais. Recomendo
