Bahr - Lisboa

For a restaurant situated in a hotel I was quite impressed with BAHR. On my first night, I decided to have dinner here, and it was sheer perfection. I was whisked away to a table for 1 facing the open-air kitchen, and reveled in ever minute of my experience. I'd say the menu definitely has Asian influences, and done very well. Both the food and cocktails were fantastic. For dinner: *Bread selection (soft and crunchy selections including seaweed crackers) *Crab Cracker (the perfect bite to start the meal) *Blue Lobster, Fried Rice Marrare sauce (beyond tasty, so balanced) *Chocolate Crémeux, Banana Ice Cream Sesame (so incredibly good, almost indescribable how delectable this tasted) Service was excellent, and even as the restaurant was winding down, I never felt rushed. During my dinner I saw a family ask to take a photo with the kitchen staff which was warmly obliged. It put a big smile on my face as I observed- just represented the energy of why I loved my experience. Everyone was gracious/kind, the food had soul, and the service felt elite. In the morning, I also dined here and was really surprised by how the food was just as strong. I still dream about my scrambled eggs with mushroom coriander, one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in recent memory. Not only that but the view on the Terrace was phenomenal at that hour, as was the attentive service. I left fully and happy...and they even generously gave me a couple of baked goods to go, which was such a sweet, nice touch. Bravo to the entire staff at BAHR. Consider me fully impressed.

Stayed at the Barrio hotel and had dinner at BHAR. Three courses. Based on our wine selection Carlos provided suggested menu selections. The mushroom appetizer was WOW!! My expectations were low for this appetizer but I was pleasantly surprised the flavors were intense not the expected earthy mushroom taste. The main course was exceptional as expected the sides complemented the main dish perfectly. Rice , sweet potatoes, even salad was a surprise to my taste buds ! The service was attentive Carlos our waiter was perfect he definitely encouraged us to challenge our reservations and we were very satisfied with the results. The atmosphere was very chic with the live dj that playing a laid back set of jazzy house and mellow urban music . Highly recommend this restaurant!

Fine dining, to say the least. Top notch food, cocktails, and dessert. The service was excellent. The views from the terrace are hard to beat stunning stuff.

No less than excellent. This restaurant didn't disappoint. Visited it last Monday, for sure the best one I have been in Lisbon.

We had a mixed experience at Bahr. The terrace and cocktails were excellent, and the ambience outside was cozy and romantic. Our snack, Iberian pork, was flavourful, albeit a bit pricey for it's bite size. Our hostess was extremely accommodating and helpful. We were then ushered in for dinner, which we felt unfortunately fell a bit short of the extremely high standards of Portuguese dining scene. Some of the staff were attentive and accommodating, while others were a bit short and made the restaurant feel less premium than it presents itself to be. The carabineiro rice was a bit salty for our tastes and the octopus, while good, wasn't particularly outstanding. Ultimately, I feel conflicted about Bahr the terrace would be an excellent date night, although pricey, but for the dinner, I would go elsewhere for that pricetag.
