Nothing special about the food. It was better than your high school cafeteria, but that is it. Service was sporadic and varied between being helpful and too slow. Prices were far too high. There are other places around, so move along to them.
Nothing short of a criminal enterprise. We ordered solely sardines at 10 euros. These charlatans brought out bread and olives mentioning nothing about it being chargeable, so we assumed as you would that it was complimentary. However, when the bill was brought to me they attempted to charge us 2 euros each for the olives and bread, which we had essentially not touched. This would have inflated the cost of the meal by 40%. Obviously I wasn 't having any of that, so subsequently up saunters this surly, ignorant fellow who tries to tell me that 'this is standard across the whole of Portugal '. Unfortunately for him this wasn 't the first place we 'd eaten at so I informed that he was talking out of a certain orifice. He tried to bully us but I deliberately made the argument louder to make it clear to other customers what they were doing. These people are an abject disgrace, and also morons since it simply meant that I had the extra charges removed and they lost their gratuity. Idiots.
Stumbled across this place wanting to get a drink and some shade. Decided to have a pizza and tomato salad with our drinks which we actually enjoyed. The staff were quiet but polite when called upon.
