Ginos - Lisboa

Staying at the Altis Grand nearby so had passed this place several times. On our last evening after a long day out needed somewhere handy took a chance on Ginos. Great decision! Had made a reservation as we walked to our hotel to change another good decision because it was full 40 minutes later on a Wednesday evening). Had the Fondutta Piedmontese to share as a starter good, and good value at €12.25). Then one Caprese salad and one pork cheek ragu con gnocchi as mains €11.95 15.50 respectively). A bottle of vinho Sossego at €13 completed the terrific value. With one dessert a coffee it was around sixty euros before the tip. The meal was relaxed for us) and service friendly efficient. This on an evening when there was a leak problem in the apartment block above which affected the restaurant as well. Andre and the whole team including the kitchen, obviously) did a tremendous job. Our favourite meal from our four days in Lisbon. The restaurant is probably mid way between Avenida Marquess de Pombal metro stations.

We got the recommendation from reception when we checked in our hotel nearby, and the food was great and atmosphere also very pleasant. The kids totally enjoyed the pastas and I really liked my pizza. Sangria was amazing too. We ended up going back a second time and they ordered the same, while I tried pork cheek with gnocchi this time. The whole family usually don’t like gnocchi but I was keen to try based on the description, and I think this is the most tasty gnocchi we had, kids also tried a few and agreed.

Massas muito diferentes e saborosas a preços acessíveis para os dias de hoje. Doses super bem servidas . Empregados muito simpáticos e atenciosos, repararam que faltava um ingrediente na minha pizza. Recomendo as massas que tem diversa escolha, as pizzas são um pouco secas mas também não são más.

Lovely food with great service in well decorated place. We loved our pizzas (chicken bbq veggie) and the sangria was refreshing and flavoursome. Experience was exactly what we wanted and you will enjoy.
