Unfortunately we waited over an hour for our food, it didn’t annoy us as we weren’t hungry, but we were ready for our food when it eventually came out. I feel like this would, on the other hand, annoy the average customer. There was a party of 30 came in with not enough seating and therefore members of the party were standing over us, at our table, eating their starter. Again, we are very laid back and were not annoyed as i believe more people attended the party than the staff were informed. The staff were quite abrupt and rude, i feel as though this was down to them being under pressure, but a simple apology would have been enough. We never made a complaint because i feel like they were under alot of pressure, but didnt leave a tip as we normally would. The food was beautiful and its unfortunate how our first meal there turned out.
Unfortunately we had a 45 minute wait for our pre booked table but otherwise the food and service were great.
The restaurant has no heating and the napkins were blue bits of kitchen roll folded up. The food was made using cheaper cuts of chicken/meat and small portions and was tasteless. The waiter was wearing sports clothing which does not project a professional image of a restaurant. Will not be
Impromptu dinner at Masala Hut. Hadn’t been in years and likely wouldn’t go back. Place was freezing, appeared to be no heat on and heard several people mention this and eat with their coats on. No longer serve alcohol and it’s BYO. Didn’t realise but no big deal. As for food, very poor, bland one dimensional curry’s, tough chicken in both mine and my wife’s meais. Service was slow and seemed to concentrate on answering phone call orders than looking after people in restaurant. Pity as it used to be good. Each main course £20+ each so very expensive for a bland tough meal!
We decided to have dinner in this restaurant and dropped in early evening. We ordered two main courses. Chicken Tikka Masala and a Lamb with sag dish which was requested medium hot. When the food arrived it looked good but was totally lacking in flavour. The only word I can use to describe both dishes is bland with a capital B. So very disappointing considering the meal for two soft drinks plus rice and a popadom cost £50. Also the restaurant was cold which didn’t help. Sadly this restaurant will not see us again.
