Bras D'or View And Kow's Inn

This was our second visit, as our first experience was fantastic, and we wanted to come back. Unfortunately, we won't be returning for a third time! We ordered two of the specials; one was excellent, but the other had a piece of stick in it. I immediately reported this to the waitress. She was lovely and as helpful as she could be. I requested to return the dish and order something else, and the new meal was outstanding. However, when we received the bill, we were surprised to find we were charged for the dish that had the stick in it. I asked to speak with the owner, and when she came out, she started yelling about not giving any discounts before I even had a chance to speak. Her management style was very poor; she was unprofessional and rude, interrupting me before storming back into the kitchen and slamming the door while speaking in another language. On a positive note, the waitress was wonderful, and I made sure to give her a generous tip.

Incredible home-style breakfast near the North Sydney Ferry! The server was almost as delightful as the scrambled eggs and freshly cut potatoes. The coffee was spot on too. This place is outstanding! Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5.

The food was excellent and the service was excellent. I had shrimp soup and chicken ****, both were very good. My husband had Calamari, followed by Pan fried haddock. The vegetables were made beautiful and the fish was perfect. We are both huge Calamari fans and that was close (if not the best we ever had. Rooms: The rooms are not luxurious and very clean. The bed and bed is comfortable and cozy. There is a microwave, a fridge and a large TV. The table and chairs make it convenient to bring to your own food if you wish. The floors are not carpet (yes! and are immaculate, very preferred for hotel carpets (ugh). It is our preferred place to stay in this area.
