This has been my favorite sub shop for the past 20 years, but since it was recently sold, it has really declined. The ceiling is falling apart, and the vent above our table constantly dripped onto it. The air conditioning seemed to be broken, as they had fans on instead. It feels like they're cutting corners with their food preparation, as the amount of meat in the subs has decreased. It wouldn’t take much to bring the quality back, but based on what I saw, I’m worried that won’t happen. They really didn’t seem to care. I also noticed a young child (around 8-10 years old) bussing tables. On a positive note, the waitstaff were very nice.
While I waited for my food, the owner showed up just to collect my cash payment and then immediately left. One of the employees was boxing up my food and raved about their sauce, mentioning something about how fresh tomatoes made it special. It was around 10:30 PM when I received my order. When I finally dug into the food back at our accommodation, we quickly discovered it was awful. I could have made something tastier from a Chef Boyardee can! I ended up driving back to return the pizza and a Stromboli. However, the employee told me the owner had already taken the $50 I paid to the bank at 10:30 PM. They wanted me to come back the next day at 11:00 AM for a refund, which I found unacceptable. I had to argue to get even a partial refund, and they shortchanged me on that. This establishment really needs to be shut down. They clearly don’t know how to run a business or prepare decent food. I don’t understand how they have more than one star in reviews. I hope my experience helps you save time and money. Trust me, you're better off getting a Digiorno pizza!
I ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza to go, and it was reminiscent of gas station pizza, despite costing around $17. I could have saved my money and just gone to the local Circle K for a slice for $2.99. I won't be ordering from that place again! To make matters worse, our half-and-half pizza ended up in the hands of another customer who was leaving the parking lot and had to be flagged down by the person taking orders. Plus, there were live and dead flies all over the restaurant.
Omg. Turned around and left without the food that I had ordered online and paid for! 2 crackheads and 1 spaz that did not wash his hands, after walking in the kitchen door with a foodlion bag, then handled raw chicken, then proceeded to touch cooked food! Inside was a nasty mess, old food on tables, dirty everywhere. 100 degrees inside. I ran away from potential food poisoning! Service: Take out
