Chan's Chop Suey House - Liverpool

My husband and I have been regulars at Chans for years but unfortunately, we will not be returning after both of us got food poisoning. We shared two meals and within 2-3 hours, we were both vomiting.

Food was awful first time we had salt n pepper chicken with fried rice, refried the chicken and left the rice as it was hard. Went back today as its local and we overlooked the last time but gave the rice a miss and tried special chow mein. Was awful the sauce really thick and gooey wasn’t hot atall nothing special about it few bits of chewy beef carrots and green beans Salt n pepper su mais we’re ok, nothing special and hardly salt and pepper few bits of onion and a seasoning threw in

Immaculately clean restaurant with delicious food, offering the best fish in Liverpool. However, I have encountered a recurring issue that prompted me to leave this review. Last night, I placed a large order totaling over £25. When my son went to pick it up, he returned with a completely different order - just fried rice and chips, nothing like what I had requested. After realizing the mistake, he went back to the restaurant and waited an additional 15 minutes for the correct order. When we finally received our order, everything was there except they had mistakenly given us gravy instead of curry with our special fried rice. This type of mistake is unacceptable, especially considering the prices we are charged. This has happened multiple times now, which is why I felt compelled to leave this review.

Been coming here for years , spotlessly clean , super friendly lovely food top notch you name it ts fresh hot and spotless .

If you’ve ever been in Aintree for any length of time, you should know Chan’s; they’ve been serving good quality food for years, reliably so, and it’s always hot and tasty, in well sized portions. Reasonable prices too, and their fish and chips are the best I know; they’re also regularly given high scores for cleanliness, which you can see if you ever spot them closing up shop at night!
