Gbk - Liverpool

I went here with my partner on a Saturday evening for a bite to eat. The restaurant has a nice buzz to it and we were given a reallt friendly welcome by Ashlea and seated quickly. Ashlea was very attentive and helped us with anything we needed, she made the dining experience at GBK enjoyable as she was very cheerful and bubbly. The food was lovely! Thanks.

While strolling through Liverpool One, my partner and I decided to dine at this particular restaurant. I ordered the American cheese burger, while my partner opted for the classic Chicken. As a chef with 47 years of experience, I have prepared countless fresh burgers both professionally and at home. However, I must say that the burgers here were the best I have ever tasted. The recipe, which includes a blend of three cuts of beef, resulted in a crumbly yet flavorful burger that was cooked to perfection. My partner's grilled classic chicken was also cooked perfectly, retaining moisture and a delightful chargrill flavor. I enjoyed a Vegan vanilla shake made with oatmilk, which was thick and packed with flavor. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was fantastic. If the restaurant is in need of a slogan, I would suggest "Burgers to boast about!"

Tonight, my partner and I went to this restaurant. The service was excellent. The manager sat down with us to assist us in placing our order through the app as we had a discount. All of the staff were very pleasant. The food was delicious too! We had a great time and will definitely return.

Arrived, greeted straight away and allowed to pick a table to sit at. We sat down and it was explained either order at till or on app. Told they have run out on certain burgers. We ordered via the app, which was a little bit a faff but managed in end. Used the toilets, not very tidy, lack of toilet paper. Food came quite quickly but our drinks didn't come till half way through food after asking for them. Asked for changes on my burger but came with the item I didn't want. Also we were the only family and another couple in there so not exactly run off their feet. No one asked was everything OK. Female server was then brushing up around us when it wasn't needed. Next another member of staff from the kitchen was sat on his phone right next to us when he was on his break. He soon got told to move by management. Wouldn't want to see this place busy. Wish I never gave a tip now when ordering via app. Didn't deserve it. Nothing above and beyond.

Very disappointed this was the first time at this restaurant and although the staff were Bernice the actual place is very shabby and tired looking. The cleanliness was poor and we waited quite a while for our food which when it came it was lukewarm and on a totally inadequate sized plate. All in all not a great experience.
