Service was a bit hit and miss, waitress brought my friend a cup of tea and slapped it down on the table so hard that it spilt, walked away without any apology. Could be forgiven but the food was bland, tasteless and overcooked. This was my second visit in a month, there won't be a third.
Tucked away in the University Quarter, this quaint little cafe punches a huge weight. Simple decor, very chilled atmosphere and beautifully fresh food. If you try the Egyptian Breakfast here (fava beans, falafel, egg, feta), you’ll be happy for the remainder of the day. It’s a delight of a dish and each element is spanking fresh. And all for a mere £5 with coffee or tea. Another sensational dish is the Bamiah a Middle Eastern dish of okra in a rich tomato and cumin sauce. Heavenly. There’s a real hustle bustle around this area of Liverpool right now and Kimos is at the very heart of it. A must try for those who appreciate great, honest food.
O dear. Went yesterday for breakfast and was so disappointed. I have been coming here for yesterday and always enjoyed it untill yesterday. Got a breakfast and the toast was very cold, hardly any butter on it. The grilled tomato was just about there (slice of tomato was extremely thin cut) The whole plate was very poor. I will not be going to Kimos Myrtle St again.
Food was excellent tasting all the fine flavours but then…… is I went to use the toilet I came face to face with a monster of a dump it was just down the toilet looking at me so I tried to flush but ohhhh no the thing was stuck
