Feedback gevenThis pub used to be a starting place for me before starting a good night in town. Called in just for old time sake and was a little disappointed with the overall feel of the place. Still a beautiful building and classic pub interior but the Guinness was £4.40 a pint and nothing special.
This place is absolutely incredible! You have to check it out, grab a beer, and just enjoy the experience. It is ranked among the top three most spectacular pubs in Britain according to a celebrated book on the country's cultural heritage. After visiting several pubs featured in this book, I completely agree with that assessment. It deserves to be considered a tourist attraction in Liverpool on its own. While it may not have an extensive selection of amazing beers and has a bit of an Irish vibe, it’s still definitely worth a visit.
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but I must warn you that the restrooms are quite cramped—I accidentally bumped my arm against the tissue dispenser! On a positive note, there are many beautiful decorative details throughout the place.
I absolutely love this pub! Known locally as The Big House, it's a Liverpool Institution with stunning carved wooden decorations that give it a unique charm. It's always a fantastic stop during any pub crawl in the city center. If you're fortunate, the lovely space at the back will be open, complete with its beautiful stained glass dome. You have to check it out!
1 King's Regiment 1 bottle og beer night 2nd June 18, Excellent pub not a bit irish; bar staff could do better as a bit slow or forgetful back room good but needs base turned down as vibrates to much.
