Feedback gevenWe went out for dinner on the first day of the lockdown easing and had a fantastic experience. Despite working with a new menu, the staff managed everything remarkably well. Our server, Tom, was exceptional and went above and beyond for us. The food was excellent, especially the shared board we started with and the delicious pork belly skewer. We definitely plan on returning when the weather is nice, as they have a lovely outdoor seating area!
Booked a table for outdoors well in advance, we got there are we were taken to one of the tables on their balcony. I couldn’t even sit on the chair as there were still bits of food on it. Asked the girl to clean it, she came and did a very rushed job (as though she couldn’t be bothered). However, all tables and chairs should be cleaned between customers! This clearly wasn’t. I didn’t even want to touch the menus, there were food stains and looked as though they haven’t been cleaned. My poor mum was using her sanitiser to clean the chairs and table. There also was someone else’s dirty tissue stuck in the middle of the slats on the table top, yuck! Then looking around we could see chips on the floor, in various places was disgusting. We ended up walking out and going somewhere else!
Fred and the other waiters were really friendly also very quick service, great night! Would definitely recommend the club house !
Arrived with my friend looking for a table in the beer garden, was told nothing was available even though there were empty seats clearly in view, and they said it was a 45 minute wait and unable to reserve... so we wandered for a about half an hour or so... returned again and asked for a seat, watched the person in front of us welcomed to a table straight away... and when we asked again for the seat was told there was nothing once again. So you can’t book and you aren’t able to get a seat even when you do wait. Where is the logic in this at all! Its just basically pot luck if you arrive at the right time, instead of trying to make space for people who are actually waiting. Shame, looked lovely, but I will not be wasting my time there again.
Visited the club house on 12th April. The service was fantastic. The whole outside area was very well organised with one way systems, sanitiser stations, a host to greet you at the front, and a server in your seating section. The service was very efficient and the staff where very friendly. Special shout out to Vevina Quigley!! As it was the first day out after lockdown we expected it to be chaos, but not at the clubhouse, they had everything under control and we felt really safe!
