It seems like they are going for more of a children's play center vibe rather than a cafe. The cutlery was really dirty, especially the children's cutlery which was greasy. The toys are only suitable for very young children, disappointing for kids over 3. The whole place is quite dirty, which is not surprising since they only have one staff member working. It must be difficult for the staff to keep the place tidy when they are so busy. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the waitress Tally was lovely. She was very attentive and kind to the kids, despite being busy. She was nearly tripping over toys trying to serve tables. My advice would be to hire more staff and consider table service for a better experience. The restaurant is spacious and one staff member cannot handle cleaning all the toys and other tasks alone. The place is in need of a deep clean but the staff are lovely.
Service poor and awaful food ,2 friend who ate in this place with me were very ill afterwards?Coincidence ?dont think so. Shocking never again !!!
As previous reviews there is a big step to get into the cafe with no ramp (not really an issue to me but a wheelchair would struggle) The first thing I realised is how cold it is inside. I kept my coat on pretty much the whole time, toys are OK but most don't work or are very dirty, they could do with an upgrade. They reserve seating which I find a bit bizarre as the tables are quite big and I'm sure people wouldnt mind sharing comes as a struggle when all tables are taken and 3 are empty but reserved? Service is pretty basic no real interaction with the customers but tables cutlery are clean. I did find everything a bit pricey £5 for kids cheese on toast (1 slice) and a cup of tea. It has the potential to be so much more but it's just missing something. Hopefully a needed upgraded to make it more cosy
Love this place!! Great for kids to have a play with different toys while you relax with a cuppa and friends. We went for lunch and my daughter was still able to order breakfast which she really enjoyed. Great value for money. Cheese and ham toastie well packed with filling. Came with salad and homemade coleslaw too. Delicious. I come here most weeks and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend. Staff are lovely can't do enough for you.
This restaurant is a wonderful spot for families, with plenty of toys and space, as well as a security gate to keep children safe. It has been a great discovery for me since having my baby. The sensory room, which is free to use on Thursday mornings, is a convenient place to meet up with other mom friends and enjoy some coffee. The restaurant also offers fantastic classes. The staff are lovely and helpful, especially when it comes to soothing crying babies. Overall, it is an amazing place.
