Despite this turn off, the extensive menu with clearly labeled vegan options was a pleasant surprise. I began with the clear noodle tofu soup, which was served piping hot and packed with vegetables and noodles - a dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. My dining companion ordered the Tom Kha soup and also found it satisfying. For our main courses, I opted for the Drunken noodles, which came in generous portions that I initially doubted I could finish, but ended up devouring every last bite due to its delicious sauciness and perfectly cooked noodles. My partner ordered the Pad See Ew, which he enjoyed but was unable to finish due to the generous portion size. Throughout the meal, we were served hot tea by an attentive server who even refilled our pot. We would definitely return to this restaurant when in the area.
I went to Bangkok Thai for the second time and if I still lived in Syracuse, this would be one of my go-to restaurants. This time, I ordered takeout and it was fantastic! I got the Lunch Fried Rice with pork, which also came with soup, an egg roll, and Thai donuts. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and I would love to try everything else on their menu. The staff was friendly and pleasant during my visit.
It's been over a year since I last reviewed Bangkok Thai and luckily for our taste buds and tummies nothing has changed! With wonderful flavors gracing all of our dishes, we have yet to be anything less than ecstatic about our meals. Because of this both my wife and I continue to try new dishes here and I recommend you do the same. Step away from the safety of your Pad Thai (although it's fantastic here) and let them serve you something you never thought you wanted! I hope you get to enjoy a meal here as much as we do! Do I dare you, yes I double dare you! Enjoy!!
Bangkok Thai is in the Aldi plaza on Route 57 in Liverpool. It is right down the street from my house, so it's very convenient for a quick Friday night takeout meal. They have a very easy online ordering system that allows you to customize your order with your level of heat. I am a wimp when it comes to spice, so I opted for Mild Panang curry. Let me tell you, this did not skimp on flavor! It was so delicious! The Thai Basil added a nice flavor to the sauce and worked great with the rice. I was able to get two meals out of this! Definitely check them out next time you're in Liverpool
Had a last minute date with a friend of mine who loves Bangkok so she suggested dinner there. The restaurant was located in a plaza and easy to locate with plenty of parking. Staff was friendly and attentive. We split and egg roll which seem flakey and on the lighter side, mostly veggies but flavor was good. I had the gang dang with shrimp which when you compare the ingredients, aren't much different from my friend's panang but the dish was entirely different haha That was surprising. My gang dang different had more of the coconut milk taste to it. Both were bold in terms of taste but I think I prefer the sauce for the panang although I thought there was way too many peas in that dish. Dishes were a decent size and don't be afraid to ask for more rice if needed! Prices are very reasonable, would come back.
