After a few minutes, we were served a very underwhelming meal. I understand that the quality of the oranges can vary, but even so, I was disappointed. When we inquired about our coffee after 20 minutes, we were told that it was being prepared. A man sitting nearby received his food and drink before ours arrived. My son's waffles were served with a topping that looked like melted Belgian chocolate, which we promptly returned for something fresh. My cake was lukewarm and came with a small portion of baby spinach and two slices of tomato that made up my supposed salad. The avocado toast was served on supermarket sourdough bread, a disappointment considering the price we paid. Serving waffles and ice cream on a board that allows the contents to spill everywhere wasn't a smart choice either. We have been to this restaurant before, but we will not be returning for brunch again. Overall, the food and service did not meet our expectations given the steep price.
I have visited this restaurant several times for a quick coffee after medical appointments, and I have found it to be absolutely delightful. The man at the front always greets customers with a smile, and the coffee has a delicious, rich flavor. Although I have not tried their cakes or desserts, everything looks tempting and delicious.
In terms of Italian cake shops, the cakes and coffee are just okay. The biggest issue is the service, which seems to have changed with new ownership. The workers all seem disinterested and lackluster when serving customers. To be honest, there are much better options out there.
I have bought cakes and little sweets from cavallaro’s liverpool for years, but today I found the person behind the counter that was told me was the owner had a bad attitude and lack of personal skills. I also noticed that the 2 girls who serve were almost stoned to talk to him. I don't know if cavallaro is under new ownership, but I won't go back there.
I went here to buy a birthday cake for one of the girls at work. The cake as absolutely divine, was worth the expense, but the attitude of the staff that I dealt with left a lot to be desired. Felt like everything was too...hard, wouldn’t print me a receipt, and then three people queue jumpers got served in front of me which irritated me no end, with no apology. Expensive cakes!
