Camanel Di Planon - LIVIGNO

It is my fourth time in Livigno and each year we came to this restaurant for lunch, however this year we had the worst experience. One of us ordered spaghetti with red and yellow dates and shrimp. Instead of the dates we got it with tomatoes and they tried to convince us that this is what was on the menu, when clearly you can see on the menu it is not. Another one of us ordered salmon and asked for baled potatoes instead of mashed sweet potatoes. They have forgotten the request and also the servers were extremely slow. I am very disappointed in this restaurant.

This is probably one of the trendiest bars to enjoy some bubbly during a skiing day in Livigno. For walkers it is also approachable by a cable car and it’s worth to make the ride because the views are stunning. It might get a bit overcrowded though during peak hours when their in-house entertainers or others are performing.

Good mood, very loud music, dancer, show stakes, clear pasta card good quality, especially bottled wines, upscale prices, nice place for a sunny apres ski afternoon (only outside) there is also a self-service (we have not tried)

The Typical Diner at High Altitude is a big bust. Communication is very bad. Signing up (you have to create an account first) is a drama. You will then only receive a confirmation the day before. it says that you have to be at the elevator at 19:45h. Later you will receive an email that this will be 20:15. Then you will receive a phone call with the announcement that you will not arrive until 20:15 so as not to be left out in the cold unnecessarily. When you arrive at 8:12 pm, the Snowcat turns out to be full and we still have to wait 15 minutes in the freezing cold. On arrival no one tells you anything or that you have to go upstairs, for example. The food is of a very poor quality served by some very unfriendly waitresses (some of them were friendly). There is a very loud DJ who is apparently there just for herself. Talking is hardly possible. Then employee Luca offers to arrange a taxci for us when we arrive downstairs. When we arrive there, there are two occupied taxis and we still had to call a taxi ourselves and again stand in the freezing cold for 15 minutes. We also did this arrangement 5 years ago. Then it was great. Now I don't recommend it to anyone.
