The King Livigno

We visited this place for breakfast, with a family of 6 people. Before entering, I asked Mrs Sarah if she has croissants, she confirmed. My family came into the restaurant and we ordered the drinks, different pastries and 4 croissants. The waitress was very arrogant and even my dad said ge really did not feel welcome. She told us that she did not have the croissants. I politely requested her to order more from the bakery, we are ok to wait. She refused. I even had to insist to request her to tell me where is the nearest bakery. Finally, she told.me thst there is a bakery 100m from there. It was finally much longer, but I purchased the croissants. In the meantime, she evicted my family, claiming that she does not give service if the croissants are not feom her. I can't believe it. How the boss of a restaurant can hire such a disrespecful waitress? I really don't recommend this place.

We stayed at The King Livigno on the 2nd week of December 2021. It was an awesome experience starting from the cosy ambiance of the hotel; with fully wooden rooms and furnitures; and enjoyable essence of the mountains. It is a family owner 's hotel which makes the service personal and while exchanging with the managers you get to learn a couple of Italian words such as caffe doppio (double expresso and limoncello (a regional drink from Italy . The location is also a positive thing since, while you are still in the center but not yet bothered by the noisy bars. In our room we got to have 2 balconies with amazing views to the Valley of Livigno and to the mountains. The hotel has also a local bar in the main floor, where locals come to see football international matches and you get to know and share with some of them. The breakfast is a full variety of quality hams from the region, accompany with delicious brioches of many different types; every morning you get surprise with additional things to eat such as Oreos, sugar bread or pancakes; you get full energy charged for your skiing day. We fully recommend this place which it is worth with quality and price. We are planning our next year adventure in Livigno to come back to The King. Cozy restaurant with good food and interesting drinks (not only typical aperol spritz). Perfect place to meet with friends.

Dieci anni di vacanze natalizie a Livigno, e finire per fare un aperitivo nei luoghi abituali, che poi “hanno solo moda”. Il re era una sorpresa magnifica devo dire .cocktail certamente molto superiore ad alcuni locali blasonati che spesso non curano quello che versano nel vetro. La differenza che si trova in un semplice spritz...se si prova gli altri.che dire BRAVI! ! Non voglio parlare della taglierina perché è grande e troppo abbondante. Siete molto bravi e grazie per la vostra educazione e professionalità. Il resto lo lascio a chi beve cose innaffiate che vagamente sanno qualcosa.

Myrko è il suo personale è stato quello di dire poco unico, di una gentilezza e disponibilità ammirevoli, lo consiglio sia per coloro che sono di livigno e per coloro che sono anche solo di passaggio, non ve ne pentirete!
