Hartz Chicken Buffet - Livingston

Clean and tidy, but cashier deliberately added something to my bill. Luckily I got it. The food took about 25 minutes to prepare. You forgot to lay rolls and spices.

I've dined at another restaurant with a similar setting before and found it so unremarkable that I never returned. However, today I decided to give Livingston a try. It was a significant improvement compared to my previous experience. The food was good, though not outstanding. It came out hot and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the fried fish and the sweet potatoes. The rolls were excellent. The staff was consistently cleaning up, which was nice to see. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick, affordable Southern comfort meal.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. The fish appeared overcooked, resembling jerky, and I couldn't bring myself to try it because it looked so unappetizing. The rice was dry and hard, and the mac and cheese also lacked moisture. The hot wings were dry, the fried chicken was overcooked, and the bread pudding seemed dry as well. The only items that weren't dried out were the chicken strips, rolls, cabbage, corn, green beans, and cold salads. As for drinks, the only options were Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean enough.

Very nice place, Clean, Friendly, The food was very good. Chicken was good and tasted not burned or old fat taste. The beans are great. The Koleslawin was easy.

The place is quite confusing in its setup. A sign indicates a drive-thru, but it doesn’t really operate that way—you have to park and go inside. Another sign mentions a bakery, yet there are no baked goods on display. It seems the owner is unclear about the restaurant's identity. It would be better to choose a direction and focus on doing it well. Parking is a hassle, with unclear guidelines on where to park. I had an issue with a Styrofoam cup falling off my tray, and the napkins were overstuffed, making them hard to pull out of the dispenser.
