The BEST I've had. Get there early, because the lines start before opening time. The etouffee-stuffed Catfish Breaux Bridge was fantastic, as was the strawberry shortcake (biscuit and heavy cream, not sponge cake and Redi-Whip). Turtle soup and gator tail made excellent appetizers. Come up with a good excuse to pass west of Baton Rouge around dinner time...only you have to know that Joe's Dreyfus is the real reason for the trip.
The business and restaurant have been closed for over a year.
New administration, as it was 15 years old ago or better.
