Cinese La Giada - LIVORNO

It was a Public Holiday in Italy All Saint's Day, It appeared that just about everything was closed. But Restaurante Cinese La Giada was open at lunchtime, thank goodness. This restaurant is quite large but you are not necessarily aware of that fact because there are at least three, if not four, dining rooms/areas. All are rather lavishly decorated in a Chinese style. The staff were all of Chinese origin/appearance, and all spoke fluent Italian; and they were welcoming.. The menu consists of more than 100 items all the usual Chinese fare. But two things need to be noted: the food which I was presented with was very fresh and tasty, and it was very reasonably priced. In fact, these prices were the best and most reasonable I had encountered in all of my stay in Italy! This place is worth a visit for lunch or dinner. It is licensed (very reasonably priced wines, etc). And the washrooms were very clean. Linen napkins, and tableclothes; and chopsticks are offered. I have scored this with a rating of Average; if I had visited more often, and sampled more of their dishes, I rather suspect that I may have given it a rating of Very Good i.e. four stars. If you live in Livorno, or are just visiting en route to some other destination, then a visit to this restaurant on Viale G Carducci, on the main road from the railway station into the town, is recommended.

This restaurant is of excellent quality. and they are very kind. we ate from them very well and out of normal time. were 16:00 I highly recommend it.

Good food, super boiling, abundant portions and cheap prices. I think it's the oldest Chinese restaurant in Livorno.

Not too bad , the place is clean .. The food was not too bad , the noodles were a bit dry but the chicken with almonds was good , I prefer other restaurants in town

For many years often take-away service, place order by phone and for the agreed time I find everything ready. I must say that there has rarely been a mistake in order or a delay in delivery, but the staff is always willing to solve the problem. Sometimes I also have dinner at the restaurant, impeccable service and fast nothing to say. regarding the quality also in this case I am satisfied, the dishes are good and always abundant portions while the account is always average/low.
