The food was decent, but I was unfamiliar with most of the local dishes and there were no clear allergy warnings. Unfortunately, I discovered a small piece of packaging in my dish, which was disappointing. It should be noted that drinks are an additional cost, with a can of cola priced at 95 pesos and smoothies at 125 pesos. The boat was overcrowded, with tables placed too closely together. Additionally, the musician played so loudly that it was hard to have a conversation or enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. The waitress even asked for tips for the musician, which seems to be the norm here. While the natural surroundings were stunning, the floating restaurant did not enhance the experience. In conclusion, I do not recommend Rio Verde due to the high price and lack of overall satisfaction.
This restaurant offers a unique and delightful dining experience with attentive serving staff who always ensure that you have everything you need. The buffet is well-maintained and the food is delicious. The view is stunning and peaceful, enhanced by the presence of talented entertainers. Overall, this is one of the top dining destinations in Bohol.
For the views and experience 5 stars. For the food 2 stars. For the price 1 star. It's quite an expensive place for what they offer, sure it's a good experience. I am vegan, they were kind enough to cook vegan noodles separately just for me. Besides that, there are very few options like salads, desserts and fruits for me being vegan. Even my meat eating friends said, it's not great. And also, if you want water, one small bottle is free, anything extra is 35 pesos!
