Feedback gevenMy first ever restaurant review. There were3 people in our party at Cass Cay last night.(Saturday). We chose to sit in the inside dining room. The room was half full. The service is terrible! Server flinging food on the table. Salad served after meal because she forgot, never came by and asked how things were. Forgot drink orders repeatedly. Food was pretty good, but only one piece of fish in the fish n chips. Never seen that. Always at least 2. So we decided to go outside for drinks. I found a table. No less than 3 servers walked by me avoiding eye contact. No service! After 15 minutes we decided to leave. Someone that lives in the neighborhood says just wait a bit longer. I did notice some people that seem to be familiar there had everything they needed. Very clicky place. But, very busy... So maybe they don't need the $160 or so our party spent, but we will not be back. I will find a place to feel welcome for my money.
First time in the area and wanted our kids to sit by the water and have a good meal. Should have read the recent reviews first. BEWARE! We waited 25 minutes to get seated at a place near 20% capacity on a Friday evening (8/10). Ordered the food and they brought the wrong salad to start. Food arrived an hour later. While the shrimp Mac and cheese was decent the Coconut crusted grouper was overly deep fried and dry. 30 minutes after we finished eating we had to track down our waitress to get the bill. Not once in the nearly 2 hours we were at the table did someone ask if we wanted refills on water or a second drink. Don’t waste your time. Will tell anyone we know who visits the area to bypass Cass Cay Restaurant.
If you're looking for a fantastic view and a pleasant tiki hut atmosphere, they have it. Additionally, if you prefer to sit in air conditioning and overlook the marina, they offer that too. Enjoy a great menu without breaking the bank, along with happy hour specials.
Went to Cass Cay for my birthday on Wednesday, 7/31. A friend in Ohio even called ahead and purchased a bottle of wine for me to enjoy with dinner. We arrived by boat around 5:45-6:00 pm. We told the waitress we wanted to be finished by 7:30 so we could get the boat home before dark. We ordered loaded nachos, two orders of wings as it was Wing Wednesday, a smash burger, one Pepsi and a margarita. The waitress, Sheri F. came to our table several times to let us know the kitchen was backed up with wing orders. When we questioned her about it, she said there is a 20 topper inside that ordered wings. I went inside to see for myself, and lo and behold, there were 10 people inside. Very few people we seated outside. We asked her to box up our food, as we had to leave. I asked her to write down the manager’s name and number for me which she said she would. When Sheri came out with our food, she only had the loaded nachos appetizer. I went back inside and asked to speak with the manager. The same guy who delivered the bottle of wine to our table stated he is the manager. I told him how long we have been waiting, you are not busy and Sheri told us a lie about how many patrons we sitting inside waiting for wings. He made a feeble attempt at an apology and used the same excuse that the kitchen is running behind. I made it clear to him that they ruined my birthday dinner. I asked him for his business card but did not look at it until I got home. His name is not even on the card!! Not once did Sheri or the manager offer to comp the nachos or the two drinks. Another couple walked in while Sheri was taking our money. I told them not to bother, as they will not get served. We waited over one and 1/2 hours for a plate of nachos. Sheri walked over and told them to sit wherever you want and you will get served. I asked Sheri why they would get served but we could not get our food. Sheri stated, “ BECAUSE THEY COME HERE ALL THE TiME AND GET DRINKS.” Those we her exact words and I have two witnesses. I made it clear to both Sheri and the manager that I would make sure that everyone knows about the terrible service at this place and how they really feel about their customers. I should have refused to pay for the nachos. My family and I will never spend another dime at this poorly managed establishment. I would have given them zero stars but the site does not allow zeros.
A hanging planter fell on two of our party while we were waiting for our food. We ate with dirt on our table. They didn’t comp ANY of our food. A manager never came to check to see if we were ok. The food took a long time to come out even tho it was empty. Overall poor customer service.
