Golden Chick - Lockhart

As always I was not disappointed... this time I only got the chicken 8 pieces....so good that I almost finished it myself...yes there are 5 pieces left, but I want it for a midnight snack later.. would go there 2 or 3 times a week if it didn't take me an hour to get there.

It's no surprise that a lovely lady has been running this place for over 20 years. She truly knows how to treat her customers! While many businesses focus on what they can't do for you, she understands that people appreciate those who go the extra mile for their clients. Every time I visit, she prepares fresh, hot okra and makes a point to be friendly at the window. She even offered me a generous cup of ice water, unlike many places that try to charge you for something so simple. I really appreciated her kindness and the excellent care she provided today! It made my afternoon, and I just wanted to give a shout-out to her! Thank you, and you can count on me coming back!

Delicious chicken! In my opinion, it has the best iced tea in Texas. The staff was fantastic! The dining area is small, with only a few tables.

The largest, juiciest chicken fingers I've ever seen! I've loved this place since my high school days in the '90s. Shout out to the student discount!
