It has the perfect amount of fried-ness without being over fried. The chicken is not too oily while still being extremely flavoursome and tasty. Ordered the fried chicken for takeaway - drove home for 20 minutes and the chicken was still warm and crispy! It also comes with a side of honey mustard which is delicious for dipping the fried chicken in.
Wanted to try around Pinelands for dinner and felt like Korean so thought I would try this place out. Got the spicy pork bibimbap and ddeokbokki to share between the two of us. The ddeokbokki was really nice and a generous serving so I felt like it was very good value. Unfortunately the bibimbap was a bit of a hit and miss. It wasn't horrible although it was nothing impressive either and we've definitely had better. Service wise was pretty good but a little slow - the ddeokbokki came out quickly but the bibimbap took quite a while after to come out (around 10-15mins more) but the staff did apologise for this straight away. Overall a mediocre experience. Would come back if we are in the area and my Korean cravings hit again but otherwise I'll be more inclined to try other restaurants.
The service is so slow for takeaway. The restaurant is not even busy, it should not take this long to get 10 pieces of chicken. Seriously. Because of this tackiness I will be late to work. Staff are not good at speaking English and they are not very friendly. Please improve. Hopefully the chicken will be of better quality than your restaurant service. The sauce portion is too stingy.
I had visited here a couple times over the last couple years and I have to say the food has become bit of a let down. Topokki is a play on words for dukbokki in Korean however the dukbokki I had for dinner missed the mark completely. Service 3/5 average service. there weren't really any hellos or thank yous. The owner and a waitress serviced us and the attitude was the same from both. I am a Korean and I have noticed that service keeps slipping from Korean restaurants if they think you are a foreigner. It's actually super upsetting since Korean food is wonderful and should be tried by many. Food 2/5 It was edible but if your restaurant name is based on dukbokki you would want to get it right??? The flavour was off and didn't have the right balance of sweet and salty. It just tasted bland and didn't hit the spot. Fried chicken was fried chicken. There was nothing particularly special about their's in particular. Decor 3/5 Place is cosy but really small. Try to avoid this place if you have more than 4 people. We got here about 2 hours before closing but we were the last customers they served that night. Please note that advertised hours on the doors and on zomato are subject to change depending on how the owner feels business is going. Pretty disapointed.
