After a small stroll toward the cinema, we settled at the Beach House. The two story bar and restaurant is an old establishment is the competitive Garden City dining scene. After reviewing their simple menu, we ordered chicken wings to share, rib fillet steak with garlic prawns & beef ribs. Chicken wings arrived 5min from ordering. The golden fried wingding comes with ranch dipping sauce and a single celery stick. Wings were freshly fried but dry and lacked seasoning. The dipping sauce complemented the meat well but was nothing special. 2.5/5 Rib fillet steak was next to appear with mushroom sauce, thick cut chips, slaw & a bowl of garlic prawns. First impression, big serving size. Cutting into the steak, I realized the meat was well grilled to medium rare and a touch on the thin side. First bite & my eyes sparkled: the steak was butter like tender with big char grill flavour & a hint of funkiness resembling a dry aged piece of beef. The garlic prawns although smothered with watery butter sauce was well seasoned, decent in size and quantity. Chips were crunchy and slaw freshly made. This was an unexpected BRAVO! 4.5/5 With us reaching 50% full, the beef ribs made a grand entrance. My goodness, the serving size was huge! The big hunk of meat was covered with smoky BBQ sauce & waffle cut chips. A gentle pull of the bone and the meat started falling off. Biting into the ribs was a satisfying experience with the tender juicy meat complemented perfectly by the tangy & smoky BBQ sauce. The waffle cut chips was crispy but on the salty side. Well done! 4/5 Overall service was average at best. The lady taking our order was not a happy Vegemite. More care should be taken for customers with kids. At no point during our dinner did anyone ask if we need a high chair or kid’s cutlery. 2.5/5 Hint: Beach house week day offers are quite good. Second floor dining area is a quiet alternative for the ones who want to chill out.

Chicken parmigiana was rank looks like a kid made it, presentation was terrible would not eat here again Ham was cheap aswell as the cheese overpriced bullshitNicolas Patrick Higgins
Had breakfast here and it was awful. Poached eggs were cold and were so overcooked they were more like hard boiled eggs, meals came out within about 5 minutes of ordering so can only assume the eggs had been precooked and were not made to order. Gross.
The steak at lunch time is well valued; but I tried the Nachos at dinner, TERRIBLE, slapped on canned tomato, a micro small dob of mushed up avocado and very over cooked over melted hardly any cheese corn chips; the worst attempt at nachos I have ever seen. Definitely won't be going back there.
