The prices were reasonable But the freshness was not thereThe cucumbers in my salad were nearly translucent.
Vego Heaven!!! If your vegetarian or vegan this is the place to go in Brisbane. Everything on their menu is just off the charts. You will be shocked at how beautiful and tasty the food is. You cant tell the difference between their imitation meats and real meat. My top favourites are their housemade superolls/springrolls and pepper bolt. I can eat them allday everyday.
Sunday evening, too hot to cook or actually peel myself off the couch to procure food myself, but trying to make a vaguely healthy takeaway choice on the old Ubereats... kind of want KFC but I’m committed to being good, and I enjoy a vego feed despite my unfortunate addiction to KFC. I could probably go vegan if not for KFC... and maybe cheese. But I digress. Came across this place, looked good. Got Mr. Kung Pao with a side of rice and some Gym Junkie spring rolls even though I’ve no intention of ever going to a gym ever, probably... no need with all this healthy eating I figure. I am impressed. This was yum. The spring rolls might not have been worth the price tag but they were good; big and juicy but in no way inciting me to go to the gym. My King Pao was similarly a bit overpriced for the amount of food I got, but what I did get was delicious so I’ll let it slide. I guess my waistline appreciated the small serving size even if my wallet did not. It’s an ongoing battle between those two. Waistline may have won this battle, but the war is still anyone’s game. But for serious: Food was fresh and arrived piping hot which is a bonus when you take the Ubereats gamble. Since Su Life closed I’ve been looking for a vego Chinese restaurant to fill its sizeable shoes. This place has a much smaller menu and it is a bit pricier, but the food was definitely less guilty and did taste very fresh. Would hit it up again when ordering dinner for just me, but not for a big group order probably. Also points for sustainable packaging of the food if you feel strongly about that sort of thing.
One dish to rule it all. Master Tofu. Speedy service, spacious dining area, clean and spotless, yummy food, and it's all vege! Really can't ask for more.
