As a local Libertyville resident, I always wonder about this restaurant every time I passed by downtown Libertyville. Finally got to visit it on last Thursday night. The place was almost full on regular weekday around 7pm, and that’s a good sign of a good restaurant. Although the place is classy but the ambience is very relaxing and friendly. We ordered saganaki and house spread as appetizer, surf and turf and shrimp kabob plate as our main and baklava for dessert. All the meals are very delicio … – show
We have always celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant and it was a treat which we looked forward to…however, tonight we ordered in and sat down to the recommended lamb gyro Chips and a salad…disappointed does not even begin to express the meal we were delivered! It's not lamb, its mutton the fries were so old dry and so bad we couldn't eat them…the saving grace was the greek salad a meal that cost us over $80 was only worth the salad!
Really nice service, however the food was not it. The food was very charred and tasted too burnt and bitter. The fish was overcooked and overall the food was not to my liking. The pricing is also way to high for the portion size. The hummus was great though.
Atmosphere was very nice. Staff was great! Really delicious coffee. Try the baclava pancakes.
