Great little diner. It is cash only, which is nice to see in a cashless world.

Friendly staff, good service, normal food presented like home served.

I have been coming to Freds for years. Every time it puts a smile on my face. To see the favorite neighborhood ladies known as Joyce, Annette, Patty, and Gina along with their team of excellent cooks is a true bright spot in my day. Food is great! Ambiance is a much needed laugh! Ladies, you ARE Grayslake and we love you!!!

My sister and I went here for lunch today. I got the chicken curry fried rice and the curry puffs. The owner is literally the sweetest person ever and the food was so good.

Loved the experience. Typical old school diner in every way. Put on your thick skin and have fun with it. If you get flipped off or smacked wear it like a badge of honor. It's diner food so don't expect fine french. Loved it.
