Mon Ami Gabi - Logan County

I love classic French bistro food and Mon Ami Gabi does a really nice job with it. Today I had Onion Soup au Gratin, a Croque Monsieur, and Chocolate Mousse. Everything was good and it was all on their Prix Fixe Lunch Menu. All for just $21.95.

This place is the worst French restaurant I’ve been to. I’ve been to a lot of LEYE restaurants and this place is at the bottom of my list. The escargot had so much parsley and garlic that it was bitter, over kill, fries were soggy, mussels were over steamed and bland. It just tasted like cream. Our entrees were at the 1 hr mark as we sat there with dirty dishes still on our table from our appetizers. Sad to hear this restaurant will be closing in a few weeks. Good service and delicious food.

Great french style steaks and seafood but this location is closing for business on November 24, 2021. The closest location after they close is in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago.
