As others have mentioned, there seems to be some staff (or ownership) changes happening, as during our last lunch visit, there was only one staff member on duty handling everything. Despite the wait, we still enjoyed the tasty food. The pub is located in a quiet area behind the school and surrounded by residential houses, but it's easy to find at the end of the street. We learned the hard way that the pub is closed on Mondays, and it seems they may now be operating on reduced days, possibly closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Usually pub food is really good but the cook must have had a problem finding enough cheese for our three $16.00 plates of Nachos. The plate was short about 50% of what it should of had. We also spent $3.00 extra for beef which was dry hamburger sprinkled over the plate of chips. Building a pub at the end of a dead end residential street might not have been a smart idea to attract business. Especially for tourists. Only the locals would know the location.
Place smells like grease as soon as you walk in. Remember this from last time we visited as well Crappy selection of beer -- but I guess what should a person expect I guess The pub itself is well kept and the server was pretty nice Just a place to go for a drink on your way thru for us, as long as you don't mind smelling of grease after Don't really think it's an average pub- but not a poor pub either, has its plus's and minus's for sure
It is a small town pub with very few customers from out of town as it is tucked away behind a housing development. The food is ok but with few customers..... ????
I've given this place several chances over the years and it just keeps getting worse. It has the strangest and most inconsistent hours that I have ever seen for a pub. When it is open, the food and service are nothing special. The very limited menu consists of mostly prepackaged, greasy deep fried **** that certainly is not worthy of calling even standard pub grub. The drinks are alright but pricey, and considering how empty the place was, the service was only mediocre. If you are looking for a quaint little small town pub to have a drink and a decent meal, this isn't it.
