I felt like a man in bancone. at the rather unpleasant theke, I explained the waitress that it was my style cramped. when I suggested that there are tables free that I would like to occupy, I was told in uncertain conditions that I would not have a table, although I had booked 2 weeks earlier. I wondered if this should be a repeat of my experience in kiln, where my food companion and I were subjected to a lot of discriminatory treatment. To avoid this situation, I had brought my native (caucasian british) friend. Unfortunately, he was not a comedy in this case. but such troubles aside, we tried to enjoy eating.
I thought this was unreal and I would come back all the time if I was in London. Some absolutely delicious pasta. Worth noting that if you over order, you can't take leftovers home with you as everything is made fresh and there's food safety issues if you take it with you. The silk handkerchiefs and egg are bomb, but the braised ox cheek was my favourite
We booked in advance and luckily too as it was full. Seated at the bar area ordered the ham to start off with and then then famous handkerchief pasta and spicy pork ragu. The handkerchief pasta was really very good, simple ingredient with just egg, butter and walnut and yet so delicious. Service was impeccable highly recommended!
We managed to get a seat at lunch time at the bar (but I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation, tables are fully reserved ~4-5 days in advance). We just had the silk handkerchief pasta which was to die for, and for £9.5 it was unbeatable. Payment by card. The menu is slightly different from their other location but equally delicious!
Basically reservation only. We booked for 2 people at 14:30. The staffs were nice and smiley. The speed of food serving was fast. We ordered 3 plates of pasta and the desert. Not a big fan of the dessert but it was not bad though.
