Bea's Of Bloomsbury Russell Square

We arrived at the Russell Square location at the time of our reservation, only to find that the restaurant was completely closed! The building looked empty. This was quite perplexing, especially since I had received a confirmation message from OpenTable regarding our reservation. We were certain we had a booking for this place. It was disappointing, as we had just arrived in London for vacation, but luckily we discovered a lovely pub just around the corner.

It was extremely hot and humid when we visited, but by the end of our afternoon tea, I got used to it. The value was excellent, there was a generous selection of cakes, and they were very accommodating with food allergies.

The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful! We arrived early, and they quickly adapted to our needs, seating us promptly with hot tea and a delightful assortment of tea treats. I highly recommend this place!

We went to Bea´s since we had been to the old tea room but the new Bea´s was a big disappointment. Expensive afternoon tea and the tea room was very ugly. No atmosphere at all. Would never go there again nor tell a friend. The bread was dry but the cakes were very good.
