Food was really delicious and hot, we chose a *very* beautiful white Rioja to go with our fish nets and it was really smooth and supplemented beautiful. Service was attentive, but not above the top and would recommend Cigala also for those who are used in the more expensive, Piccadilly area, restaurants.
My second visit was as good as the first one. The lunch menu is excellent.
Beautiful atmosphere and very helpful staff. The food was delicious and well cooked. Menu has all the options you would expect from a Spanish restaurant. Portions are not huge. The best value for money is the Paella. Good selection of wines Sherry's. Nice for a romantic dinner
Cigala is a bit off the beaten track for a Saturday night out. It is worth the effort, however. The ambience and staff welcome you in this bustling neighborhood restaurant. Many choices for vegetarians, pescatarians and allergy sufferers. In addition to the a la carte options, we were offered the opportunity to choose from a variety of small plates. Three per person proved to be a lot, and the selection included many of the specials available for Christmas time. The food was very good and enjoyed by everyone on our table without exception. The wine list is extensive with many good value options. We had a nice evening and we'll be back.
The owner was proudly telling us that the restaurant has been here for many years. This was understandable for two reasons, both his pride and the longevity. A simple restaurant to look at but great food. Well recommended in an area where I've struggled to find goof tapas.
