This is not the first time we visited the ivy in kensington, but if it was, then we would certainly not go again. the personal seemed completely uninterested bar a smile happy waiter (not our) from the moment we entered and the personal greets them at the door, everything seemed bad and uninterested. I think it says a lot about the experience on Sunday that if a diners teller a considerable amount of food left on him at the survey, not a single question is asked when everything was in order. we will go again, but as above, because we have experienced the ivy before, and we hope that this is off and not the norm.
Lemon sole more bones than fish. Not enough serving staff so long gaps.
It is one of the best dining places, every time I come to London, we go there for a meal. The service is great.
As a regular , I am extremely disappointed at the treatment by the manger , Maria. I have not seen her before, but she was abrasive and virtually pushed us off the table. I will consider if it is worth going back , given the increased high end option next door. I was surprised and it just goes to show how much the service makes a difference to the experience. I have dined at this venue in excess of 60 times (approx). I was very put off tonight (thanks to the manager) .
