However, the food served here was freshly marinated and best enjoyed when served immediately after cooking. The dishes had low salt content and were incredibly flavorful. To appreciate this type of cuisine, one must forget about the heavily salted dishes we are accustomed to. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and so did everyone with me. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a water dispenser filled with fruits and mint for guests to enjoy. I don't understand the negative reviews as the service at this restaurant was excellent. I ordered two lamb shawarmas and a falafel platter, both of which had generous portion sizes. We had to take home leftovers because we couldn't finish everything. I have included some photos to showcase the beautiful presentation of the food, which is rare to find at this price point. I would give them ten stars and this is a genuine review as I am not affiliated with the business.
My wife, child, and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. We arrived for a late lunch and the waitress kindly recommended a bakery nearby that had a play area for children. We ordered a chicken and lamb skin wrap with chips, which were delicious and very filling. I would highly recommend this place, especially for the excellent service. Thank you!
I don't even know where to begin. I came to dine with you tonight after desperately craving Arab comfort food, and it was the best decision I've ever made. The staff was incredible, so friendly and welcoming. The couple who greeted us, Nada and her husband, were lovely, and their daughter was an angel! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The Maamoul cookies caught my eye, and I just had to try one. The food was amazing. The bread was warm and tasty, and the dips had incredible textures and flavors. Simply divine. The falafel was top-notch, some of the best I've ever had. And the maamoul was heavenly, it stole the show. I can't stop thinking about going back for more. Overall, I absolutely adore this place and can't wait to return!
Before I even begin about the actual restaurant let me say a brief encounter and experience I had with the staff. So I lost my wallet on the overground train. The next day, whilst I'm racking my brain, my buzzer rings and man states he has something important to me, low and behold it was my wallet (which contained £50 cash, bank cards and driver's license). He returned it to my address and refused to accept any reward, not even a fiverr. He told he worked at Mini Hiba which is a 3 minute walk from me. I am now a lifelong customer, wonderful Palestinian Lebanese food, great family run business and such clean hearted staff. Recommended for anyone who is in the Wood Street, Walthamstow area.
The food is really fresh you can tell the salad hasn't been chopped and sitting around for ages, the spinach parcels have fresh tasting homemade filling. I was told that they start next door in the bakery at 5am, making food fresh each day. It's prettily presented too, with super flavoursome olive oil drizzled, dried herbs and pomegranate seeds. The restaurant is so easy, comfortable and relaxed to sit in and eat with our two kids like visiting someone else's house. The menu is varied and as a vegetarian, there is much to choose from (though my husband and kids had mixed grill and chicken, they say it's very good too). We can sit at a long table and fill it with all the tasty dishes to share between us a pretty perfect family meal. Both times we've visited (this is a recent discovery, we will be back many more times) the person running it is totally involved with the food and passionate about it. And that's probably why it's so good.
