We were planning on take out but a table was available and the room light and bright so we ate in. Was not expecting so many types of fish which were offered battered, breadcrumbed or grilled. We opted for the battered haddock which was excellent really delicious. I ordered the avocado, tomato, red onion starter as bd what a happy surprise! Cubes of avocado m, tomato and red onion served in a large ice cream sundae dish. It was pretty and silly and a party in your mouth! The dressing was incredible. Our server was incredibly nice and the overall experience a pleasure. We’ll be telling our Airbnb host to recommend this place to future guests as they also do take out and delivery and their right across the street from the Queens Park station on the Bakerloo.
Wonderful Cod Chips … not greasy at all , super fresh , nice curry sauce … only thing I didn’t like was paying upfront in the restaurant , not sure why they do this but that’s a minor needle … go soon you won’t be disappointed !
This is the best fish and chips I've ever had. The portions are huge and the batter is perfectly crispy. I will definitely be coming back again when I'm in London.
My family and I visited Mr. Fish on our first night in London. We were staying in a nearby home and chose this restaurant because it was conveniently located near the Metro. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, to the point that we returned two more times during our 9-day stay. While their fish and chips were delicious, everything we sampled from their extensive menu was excellent, not just the seafood dishes. The standout aspect of our experience was the friendly and welcoming staff at Mr. Fish. If we were locals, we would definitely be regular patrons. We highly recommend this restaurant to both residents and tourists!
I have been dining at this restaurant for several years and have always enjoyed their fresh and tasty fish. However, on my last visit, I was informed that my loyalty card could not be used for the lunchtime special, which was new to me. When I questioned this, I was told that their policy had changed in the past 4-5 weeks, even though I had visited just two weeks prior and used my loyalty card without issue. Additionally, the fish I received on this visit had a strange smell and grey meat, unlike the always white fish I had in the past. As someone with experience in the fish industry, I know that grey meat on white fish indicates decomposition. I am now questioning if the restaurant has changed suppliers to cut costs during these times of rising prices. Due to the increased prices and refusal to honor the 10% discount with the loyalty card, I will not be visiting this restaurant as frequently in the future.
