However one of the guests left around 1130 and paid the bill on her exit however when the rest of us left we were given the bill to pay. My sister paid £107 when she left which was the entire bill. The remaining 3 guests including myself were issued with another bill which was split two ways £46.53 each we paid this bill should not have come as after paying the £107 there was nothing ordered to the table. There seems to be an error. We were not given an itemised bill we were just told the amount of the second bill and we decided to split two ways between two of us guests, as at this point we were not aware our sister who left earlier had paid the entire bill. No member of staff informed us of this either but they would have been fully aware this was paid and no further drinks were ordered to our table. We need a refund to be issued. Absolutely disappointed that staff still took payment for god knows what instead of telling us the bill had been paid.
Alright, but service was slow. We had expected more after having read all reviews carefully. The drinks and food were nice but nothing spectactular.
There’s no denying that the bar is in a prime location, with fantastic views across the South Bank and to the City and St Paul’s. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient, and service was pretty good though late afternoon early evening in mid January, it wasn’t too busy. We were there just for drinks. The cocktail menu (considering it is a cocktail bar) is quite limited, but we were told they can do all the classics. So why no menu with the classics (and prices) included? Anyway, we ordered classics with no idea what the bill would be fine if your surname is Rockerfeller, Gates or Bezos, not so great if you’ve turned up off the street like most folk! In short, a potentially fantastic bar, but more transparency needed. If the nearby Strand Palace Hotel can do that, then so can Radio Bar.
A great lunch spot with a large group of friends, visited in the summer and it was so beautiful to sit out in the sunshine, would recommend
Went to Radio Rooftop Bar for breakfast on Christmas Day, as not many places were open. Absolutely loved the relaxed, almost party-like environment, with breathtaking views of London. Service was impeccable, and food was very good. The Duck Hash was particularly special. One small glitch, of which we were advised and accepted it anyway. We ordered a bottle of cava, and our waitress approached us to tell us they only had one label available, and its price, which we found very high, yet ordered anyway. When the bill came, it was put down as a Billecart Salmon Brut, for which the price was appropiate. Can't help but think that if when I asked for the cava they'd told me it would be for the price of champagne, I would have without hesitation ordered the latter.
