It was a very busy night for restaurants as London moved into Tier 3 lockdown from mid night so getting a table somewhere decent was tricky. We did eat somewhere in the end but all in all a wasted £130! Annoyed.
Lovely food and atmosphere! Will be going back for sure!
The food was very disappointing with the exception of the homemade kimchi, which I would recommend they commercialise if the restaurant doesn’t last. It was a weird mix of cuisines without the proper acknowledgements (eg spicy pork, which is usually thinly sliced in a spicy oil on the bibimbap was actually slightly peppery char siu) and a lot of sub par ingredients. The cocktails were very average. The service from two servers was very good but they were undermined by the head server who was slow, weird and generally useless. Perhaps understaffed. The ambience was quite nice but there are big benches shared across tables that make for challenging manoeuvres to get in and out.
Loved the food and the service, definitely a great addition to Hoxton. Will definitely be back soon.
