We frequently visit for drinks and I recently sampled their fish and chips. The portion size is generous, so make sure to come hungry.

The Skylark is situated in a great location for a meal before a night out in Croydon. However, the atmosphere is not exactly upscale; I would even say it is family-friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky to find, so walking or taking the bus is a good option for locals. The food options often include a free beer, which is a nice touch. Many people rave about the fish and chips, but I haven't tried it yet as it seems quite heavy. I am, however, a big fan of the decent BBQ hot dog.

A perfect place for pre drinks with friends and families before a night out. The decor is classy and the ambiance is peaceful. Staff are also lively and happy to chat. We often go there for drinks and I have tried their fish and chips. The portion is quite big so do go with an empty stomach.
