The Dolphin - London

Upon arrival, we found that our food was cold due to being served on chilled plates. Despite requesting a table for eight, we were only provided with seating for six, leading us to split into two groups. The service was not only slow, but at times, rude. To acknowledge our dissatisfaction, they waived the charges for coffee and did not include a service charge. As a regular Sunday lunch group, we have previously enjoyed our meals at this restaurant. We wonder if the recent change in management or a lack of staff contributed to the disappointing experience.

We were a diverse group of 6 with a mix of ages. I had promised the youngest member pizza, so it was disappointing to find out that there were no pizzas available on Sunday during lunchtime. The online menu had listed burgers and other options, but they were not available on Sundays. Instead, there were only a selection of roasts with a few side dishes and starters. However, the food that was served was delicious, reasonably priced, and enjoyed by everyone in our group. While I understand that it may not be feasible to offer a full menu on Sundays, it would have been nice to have the burger option to cater to the younger diners. The staff were exceptional and we had a great experience overall.

The restaurant has a charming ambiance, beautiful decor, attentive service, delicious food, and affordable prices.
