The food was of a very poor standard, The service was rude and they pretended not to speak English when I know from previous experience they do. Added to all that they added items onto the bill that they did not serve us and we confirmed they were cancelled. RUBBISH!
You often see queues outside. I wouldn't describe it as cheap average cost of a course meal will be But the food is good, different and worth trying. Depending on what you order. The large bowls of spicy soup are excellent. They work out at around each. Very tasty, warming and filling especially during the wet wintery weather. The marinated pork was pretty good as was the spicy soup with poached egg, beancurd and mussels. There are two other Korean restaurants in the same road this is the most popular one! I'd come back again for the soup!
We found this little restaurant by chance and had a lovely time. The deco is no thrills, but don't let that put you off.The food was exciting and fresh and the waitress and all working there made as feel very comfortable. As starter we had some Jelly Fish on a mustard sauce and some nibbles choosen by our host. As main we had a hot pot of beef and baby octopus, which was simply divine. We'll definetly go back to try all those other exciting looking dishes, which we just couldn't fit in.A great value for money too
This Korean restaurant is one of several on the street, offering affordable prices but not particularly exceptional food. The service is decent and the meals are satisfactory, but don't expect anything extraordinary.
I have had Korean food before and I can usually distinguish between good and not-so-good Korean food. In my opinion, Woo Jung falls towards the latter end of the spectrum based on my two recent dining experiences. I tried some traditional Korean dishes but was disappointed by both the taste and presentation. For example, the bibimbap did not come in a stone bowl as advertised on the menu. The waitstaff seemed to struggle with the language barrier, making it difficult for them to provide helpful recommendations. The restaurant also did not feel very clean, but I suppose that's to be expected from a budget-friendly eatery.
