Feedback gevenThis is a medium sized downtown restaurant that has been serving the locals for a long time. The food is delicious and the management and servers are very helpful and attentive. It is Hungarian Cuisine with a lot of regular food. The decor is clearly European with a lot of colours.Parking is easy on the street in front.
This restaurant was like a step back in time...excellent and knowledgable service, charming atmosphere, and the most delicious food! You could tell that everything was made from scratch with care and pride. We had the celebration platter for two (I highly recommend this, since you get to enjoy a nice variety of items on their menu) and we loved everything from the soup, slaw, chicken paprikash, dumplings, Hungarian goulash, cabbage rolls, and then cake and coffee! My husband and I were both very happily stuffed and so satisfied with every bit of it! There was also live music - a guitarist - who was excellent and charming. We were so happy we found this little treasure of a place - don't miss it! We will make this a yearly tradition on our way to our vacation destination.
The wait staff here are well informed and very personable. The price of the lunch was higher but well worth it. All the food is home cooked and is a traditional experience. It is like visiting Hungary.
Very delicious food, it tastes like home made, full of flavor, everything was great! We'll definitely go back
Friendly service, a comfortable atmosphere with red velvet curtains and homemade tasting Hungarian food served by a staff with charming accents transports you to an authentic European fare experience. I was out for dinner with a co-worker. As we couldn't decide what to have, we went with the Celebration Platter for two. The meal started off with an excellent, vibrantly flavorful cabbage and sausage soup - which tasted like a hearty soup version of Polish Bigos (Hunter's Stew.) We then each indulged in a generous Hungarian-style Wiener Schnitzel, a piece of Chicken Paprikash, tender dumplings (Spaetzle,) Hungarian Debreceni sausage, fried potatoes and stuffed cabbage rolls. Growing up in family and neighborhood steeped in European cooking tradition, you can trust me when I say everything was excellent and flavorful. The meal ended with apple and cherry strudel and Hungarian coffee (like an Italian espresso, with liquor and a frothy foam top in a sugar rimmed glass mug.) If I lived in London, I would be a regular. Thank you for a great dinner.
