I have been going to Dandys since I was a young lad. I once considered the famous Dandy burger to be the best burger in London. I'm not sure what has changed, but unfortunately the place is just not what it used to be. The staff are extremely slow, and I had to wait probably 20-25 minutes for my food. Although, the waiting time is bearable with the great selection of soccer highlights playing on the plasma TVs.I won't lie, the dandy burger is great, but If you are looking for a much better burger for the same price, head a few minutes down the road to Five Guys.
I haven't been in years and I'm not sure why. If you, like me, haven't been in a while, go. The burgers are their own thing. Massive, toasty bun, made the way you like it, and charred in a way that works for me. Try the onion rings, but share an order with a friend. They are like fresh made crunchy onion fritters. It's Dandy, and it's been there for a thousand years for a reason.
Man has this place gone down hill.Used to be the place to go for a good deal and good quality food… I noticed their food hasn’t been slowly declining in quality and let’s be honest they were never know for friendly customer service.Inflation has driven their prices up, and unfortunately that’s the last straw for the local dandy’s.
After my root canal,And some “back to school” shopping for my son,My better half and I were hungry.I wanted a juicy burger,And he said;“I got the place”.When he said;“Dandy’s”,I said;“Oh where the BEST friend mushrooms are?”….Dandy’s did NOT disappoint. The onion rings were FRESH and delicious,Our hamburgers were grilled to perfection,Their Kaiser bun is so fresh and tasty,Again In London for an appointment and some shopping,To finish off with a great “cheat” meal before heading home…This place was worth it.A bit expensive,But we like to take a break from cooking our healthy meals.Their friend mushrooms are so good,I’d have them everyday if I could!
