Feedback gevenWe had an enjoyable meal, server was excellent --attentive and knowledgeable --great experience except for the acoustics. The excessive noise was not from other patrons or music, it seemed to be coming from the kitchen area. A lot of banging and clanging to the point of being annoying. The design of the room may contribute to the problem, but efforts should be made to minimize the impact on customers.
Not overly excited to go here, the food is average and not a lot to choose from if you don't want pasta or pizza.
Arrived on a Wednesday at 6:45 pm. We sere a party of five and the restaurant was maybe three quarters full. Upon our arrival the hostess seemed to be under a lot of pressure and there was only another couple ahead waiting to be seated. We saw a table of 5 already cleaned and available but it still took over 10 minutes to seat us. Our waitress was friendly but had no clue who ordered what drink once she arrived back at the table. She took our orders and brought 2 loaves of bread to the table and only 1 small amount of butter which was used on the first loaf. We asked for more butter and bread but it didn't arrive until we asked a half hour later. We also had to ask to have our drinks refilled as the server was too busy to bother. We were never asked if we wanted more soup or salad as well I would have preferred a cafeteria over the service we received. By the time our meals arrived we had a different server and again no clue who ordered what. Once everyone received their meal the pizza I ordered was completely cold throughout. I don't mean it was just warm, but completely room temperature. I have never sent back a dish until now. The waitress took it back and I was able to sit and watch my family eat for 25 minutes. The pizza arrived once everyone finished their meal and I decided to ask for it to go. To finish off our night when my wife went to the bathroom their was no paper towels to dry her hands. At this point a shouldn't have been surprised. I spoke with the manager who said they didn't expect to be as busy and apologized. As I mentioned earlier the restaurant was three quarters full.My kids really like the food at East Side Mario's. We have dined at many different locations. I have dined twice at this location and it has always been a terrible experience. If your heart is set on East Side Mario's I suggest you find another location as this one is lacking in so many ways its pitiful.
I have always enjoyed East Side for an ok meal. I was absolutely disappointed in so many things this visit and subsequently will never frequent East Side again. First off, the walls of the booths looked the a mud truck drove through. Super dirty. Then the service was slow and it wasn't busy. Lastly, what this restaurant says is that they are concerned about food cost and cutting corners. Chicken Parm is $20.00 and it consists of a piece of chicken and 5 cents worth of penne and the tomato sauce is terrible. The staff are in the back of the restaurant smoking and it is truly gone completely downhill.
Holy Crow! What a terrific vibe we got from this location! Picture a boy's baseball tournament. Hungry and rowdy 12 year olds with parents and siblings in tow....we called half an hour before arrival for 30 people...and they were moving tables to accommodate us while we were still on the line! Players were given their very own room, which contained the noise and shananigans a great deal! Thank you! We were easily served beverages within minutes of being seated, and crayons/paper kid's menus were given instantly to younger siblings. The meals were grouped by our player's Jersey number which is much easier than names. Very detail oriented servers who were great to communicate between whole wait staff about allergies and intolerances. No one dropped the ball! No pun intended! The free mini bread loaves were delivered quickly to all rows of tables and the appetizers came out within 10 minutes of ordering! A first with our East Side experiences. They have updated the menus and I was pleased to see quirky twists on regular choices! I had the Club sandwich that they wrapped in a red pepper tortilla shell and seasoned with lemon aoli(fancy word for mayo). Mine was $13.99 and came with a Caesar Salad. Took half back to the hotel. The best was the brand new choice of Deep Fried Bocconcini Cheese (first they rub olive oil and pesto on the cold cheese, then bread it). I will never see Mozzerella Sticks in the same light. This new selection was plentiful, creamy, so melted it was super stretchy. Thanks for the quality and variety! The best happened at check out when we were able to use both our C.A.A card for a discount AND our Scene card for points! Wonderful and a welcome change from competitors!
