J.Dee's Market Grill - London

Stopped in with my wife and son for a quick weekend lunch and were seated in a booth overlooking Market Square. We ordered drinks after being seated and they arrived promptly as ordered. For food we ordered a mix, my wife an appetizer, our son a club sandwich and I ordered the single fish and chips. To say the food was uninspiring when it arrived, is being polite, with only the sandwich of acceptable quality. Definitely won't be back.

The Classic burger is the best burger I have ever eaten. That with the sweet potato fries was heaven.

We stopped for a drink here before heading to a concert at Budweiser Gardens. Veey reminiscent of a local neighbourhood bar, plenty of beers on tap. Service was friendly and efficient. We did not have any food so I can't comment on that. Overall a nice little bar to grab a beer at.

Hadn't been for a few years, same old ho-hum, I guess. Worth a stop in, but lacks a power punch to keep top of our list. It was packed just before a Knights game, service was prompt and friendly, but my beer was warm, sent it back without question, waited and then the next one was a bit not so warm! Meals were ok; chicken teriyaki on a bun and grilled salmon on a bun, both were okay.

We went to this establishment prior to a family show at the Budweiser Gardens with our grandchildren. The experience from start to finish was a " series of unfortunate events" . I left with the impression that this business is banking on the "one time customer" because of it's great location and not necessarily the quality of food or service. It is true that this business will probably always bring in customers because of its location in proximity to the Budweiser Gardens, but I feel it may also be true, that with that, will only come a dining experience that will only meet the minimum requirements to ensure they stay open.
