Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Service was a little slow due to lack of employees which is unfortunate and understanding. Otherwise it was really good!

Something has changed... but not in the right direction ! 1- Today 's pancakes were terrible, flat, and tasted like old oil. I asked for bananas....and no bananas ! Maybe the kitchen staff can go Market Basket and buy a few bananas no ? 2- The lady at the welcome desk needs to articulate...it 's urgent, can 't understand her at all ! Secondly, she announced that water or else was spilled on the floor where we are supposed to be seated and asked if we would be ok to sit there....we said yes...expecting someone to mop. Many tables free but no...we 've been asked to sit at a table with water under. Aren 't you supposed to mop ? Apparently, no....nobody has mopped the area. You might have said you are short in staff but still.... Our waiter was very friendly and professional....and loud

Omg u got the new chicken bacon dish.. it was out if this world! I goobled it all up! The waitress was fabulous and nice . The only complaint. The gift shop.. I have a S&P shaker addiction they didn't have as many as usual.. which made me sad and they always have the best ones too.. maybe I hit them at the wrong time?

Server was great, kitchen was a little backed up but that meant our food was super hot and freshly prepared. Fried chicken was perfectly cooked with light, tasty coating that wasn't overly salted like some places are. They somehow make (frozen? fried okra taste amazing and fresh. Super delicious, ridiculously big portions (brought home enough for lunch tomorrow , excellent value for money. Exactly what we were craving. Come for the fried chicken and biscuits alone!

Although I find their store part of this place very interesting and unique the service here was so horrible I will never go back after waiting for 10 bc staff was busy I was not acknowledged so I made myself know. Ask staff if my order to go was ready that was the one and only time I was acknowledged I didn't even get an answer to my question i was standing at the counter waited my turn patiently and everything so the food was not worth the lack of customer service I walked out and I will never return again.
