Basil's Cafe - Long Beach

What a hidden treasure! I visited this place for a light and refreshing lunch after indulging in seafood the night before. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch. The nom tok pork was the best I've ever had, and the beef salad was fantastic as well. It was too warm for me to go for a full bowl of pho, so I opted for a small side of their beef broth, which was absolutely delightful. I also grabbed a honeydew smoothie and a Thai tea to take with me. This spot is definitely worth the drive from Bay St. Louis or any nearby location where you're staying!

Had the ginger rice chicken. Very good. Very filling because it's a lot of rice and they didn't skimp on the ginger. The restaurant was somewhat small but it wasn't busy so no problem. I thought the amount you got for this dish could easily be split with an added appetizer and I couldn't finish it by myself.

Our server Elizabeth was great ! The best server at basils, food came quick and it was so delicious I devoured it before I could take a picture ! definitely my favorite place to eat

This place is a hidden gem! From the egg rolls to the spicy beef pad thai it was absolutely delicious. Definitely will dine in next time.

I'm a big fan when it come to pho and I always go to this place since I'm new in town and I moved here from Nola. This is pretty close to my new place but today I ordered combination pho with an extra tendon, as you can see in the picture this would be a regular amount of what you get if you order combination in Nola but I'm shock to fine out this is what I paid for an extra $3 dollars and I'm myself sous chef and this is ridiculously expensive for just another two pieces of beef fat!
